EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: Saffa Ghorishi & Eyez Release Music Video For “Strangers” Featuring Sylvia Mwenze

We have a new music premiere for you all, and it’s a good one! Saffa Ghorishi has teamed up with Eyez for this amazing track “Strangers” featuring Sylvia Mwenze and now there is this brilliant visual. The single was officially released on 15 August 2019 and follows up Saffa Ghorishi’s collaboration with Hatter on the single “Check In”, Eyez’s single “Let The Journey Begin” – and he has released a few singles since dropping this track, and Sylvia Mwenze’s debut solo single “Alarm”.

Saffa Ghorishi is a DJ from the south coast who has been working the grime scene for a number of years supporting the likes of Krept & Konan, Fekky, and Headie One. Recently, he has been known to be the official DJ for Eyez and has toured with Steel Banglez. This track is his most-streamed song on Spotify, followed by his collaboration with Olivia Louise, titled “Finger Tips”. We expect more great music releases, from this DJ, are on they’re way, and we can’t wait to hear them.

If you don’t know who Eyez is, we assure you that you’ll know his name in the coming years. Eyez, real name Isaac Elijah Branford, is making quite the name for himself, not only in the grime genre of British music but also in the hip-hop music industry. He started rapping at the age of 11, and three years later he performed at a Lethal Bizzle gig in front of thousands of people. He hails from Derby, but has spent his childhood between Derby, London, and Brighton. “Init” is his most-streamed song on Spotify, with over 700,000 streams, whilst “Top Boy” is his second most-streamed single with over 400,000 streams. Over on YouTube, he has released videos on JDZmedia and GRM Daily, gaining millions of views. He’s definitely one to watch these coming years.

The featured artist on this track is Sylvia Mwenze. She’s pretty new on the scene, having dropped her debut solo single, “Alarm”, at the end of last year. She hails from North West London and is both a singer and a songwriter as well as a self-taught pianist and guitarist. She has also collaborated with the likes of Hatter and Ku De Ta. She’s certainly someone who is experimenting with her sound whilst still focused on her own music. We’re interested to see what she does next.

This song “Strangers” is a bright, refreshing song, with hints of summer as the UK turns towards autumn. It mixes the incredibly produced beats from Saffa Ghorishi with UK rap, reggaeton and dancehall, using Latino and Middle-Eastern musical elements.

Talking about the track in a press release, Saffa Ghorishi said: “‘Strangers’ is a combination of two minds infusing our culture and diversity to encapsulate love and… an energetic track with a blend of the old and new sounds.”

The music video has been shot in Gozo, St. Paul’s Bay, and St. Julian’s in Malta – according to Eyez’s Instagram, and certainly brings in some much-needed summer sunshine. It has been directed and edited by Nuff Hungry & Mr Cheal. The visual is beautiful and heightens the track even more, whilst Eyez brings it throughout as his on-screen love interest, played by model Alice Consoli, is clearly enjoying their holiday together, in the Maltese sun. Saffa Ghorishi has solo scenes towards the end of the visual, and he is too enjoying the sunshine.

“Strangers” is available to download and stream right now, and it’s one we will certainly be adding to our own personal playlists, as we really cannot get this hook and the chorus out of our heads.
