Sam Smith has done it again – his new album, The Thrill Of It All, has debuted at number one on the Official UK Albums Chart.
Selling 97,328 copies across all platforms, The Thrill Of It All is Sam’s second number one album, following on from his 2014 debut offering In The Lonely Hour. According to Official Charts, The Thrill Of It All’s sales were made up of 64% physical copies, 21% downloads and 14% streaming equivalent sales. The album includes lead single ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’, ‘Pray’, and ‘Burning’.
Taking to Twitter, Sam shared his elation by posing with his official number one award. He tweeted: “My heart is so full and happy with this news. Thank you to every single person who has got my album. This is a dream come true for me, thank you x”

Last night, Sam Smith At The BBC, an hour long special, aired on TV. Alongside performances of some of his new and most loved songs, we also saw Sam take part in funny sketches as well as the breathtaking moment he surprised two brides at their wedding.
Sam was recently announced as one of the headliners for Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball 2017. He will be performing on the Saturday night (December 9) alongside Rita Ora, Major Lazer, James Arthur, Niall Horan, Dua Lipa, Jonas Blue, Anne-Marie, Craig David, Jax Jones and Yungen.
