    Samantha Barks announces new tour and album

    West End actress will be embarking on her own UK tour in June following the release of her second album.

    2007 saw the release of her debut album, Looking in Your Eyes, the album featured several songs which were co-written by her, while 2008-09 saw her stage debut in the national tour of Cabaret, in which she played Sally Bowles.

    However, she rose to fame back in 2008 after coming third on the BBC talent show, I’d Do Anything in which we saw the search for Nancy for the revival of Oliver! on the West End. She also starred in the Disney Channel series Groove High alongside Jonathan Bailey in 2012.

    Samantha then made her film debut in 2012 by being cast in the highly acclaimed film Les Misérables in which she played Éponine alongside some very famous faces including Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe. Her being cast in this film was revealed whilst she was on tour for Oliver!

     

     

    Along with her West End roles, she has had other roles in films such as The Christmas Candle (2013) and Bitter Harvest (2015).

    In 2o13 she starred in the hit musical Chicago as Velma at the Hollywood Bowl for one weekend only.

    2014 saw her play Mallory/Avril in City Of Angels at the Donmar Theatre. More recently, she took on the role of Amelie in the musical with the same title at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre.

    Sunday 26th June – London Richmond Theatre

    Wednesday 29th June – Lancaster Grand

    Thursday 30th June – St Andrews Garden Theatre
