Rising British pop powerhouse Samira continues to push boundaries, and explore new musical terrains this week, with the release of her latest single ‘See Through You’.

Lyrically inspired by a group of friends late night shenanigans, and the inevitable comedown they then experience as a result of their hedonistic lifestyle, the super addictive track (co-written by the singer along with pop producer PALMR) successfully fuses drum and bass beats with dark, brooding melodies to produce an evocative dance anthem that signals something of a new chapter for the emerging singer-songwriter.
Commenting on the track in a press release, Samira says: “I’m so excited to get this song out there – it’s a real change of pace for me and one of my favourite things I’ve ever written. I love how dark the production and the lyrics are – it’s a real statement of intent as to who I am as an artist and where I’m taking things for the next EP.”

In recent months Samira has been holed up in the studio with some of the industry’s most exciting names in UK dance, electronic and pop, working on material set to feature on the follow up to her debut EP ‘Dancefloors & Drama Vol. 1’.
Launched back in the January of this year, and featuring the singles ‘Good At Goodbyes’, ‘Like This, Like That’, ‘That’s Not What My Friends Say’, ‘Envy Me’, and ‘Toxic’, the extended play served as the perfect showcase for the dynamite performer as she continues in her quest to dominate the international pop scene.
Speaking at the time of its release, the former ‘Dreamgirls’ star said of the project: “This music really tells a really clear story about heartbreak, regret and all the fun ways to get over that… all with one eye firmly on the dance-floor. I’m hoping it provides people with a really strong first glimpse into who I am as an artist, and what I might have up my sleeve for the rest of 2024!”
