The news of an all female remake of the hit movie Ocean’s Eleven has been quietly bubbling along under the surface for the past year, but now movie bosses have confirmed that Hollywood superstar Sandra Bullock will be starring in the remake as the lead.
The Heat star is currently the highest paid actress in the world so it’s no surprise that movie executives were desperate to sign her up.
Although details of the new film have been kept under wraps, Sandra is set to play the female version of George Clooney’s Ocean’s Eleven character.
The all woman remake will not just be retelling the male version, instead it will just be loosely based on the original and will feature a brand new story, much like the new Ghostbusters movie.
The new Ocean’s Eleven will be directed by the Hunger Games director Garry Ross and produced by Steven Soderbergh.
With only one cast member announced so far (Sandra Bullock) rumours have gone into overdrive with who will be starring alongside Bullock, so far names such as Cate Blanchett and Jennifer Lawrence have been touted.
Although it does look very likely that Cate will be signing on soon, it seems fans wont be seeing Jennifer in the movie as her schedule would clash with the shooting of the remake of Ocean’s Eleven as they hope to start filming later this year.
