Ladies, Gentlemen and Pug Dogs; The King Blues are back!
Yes, it’s finally happening The King Blues are set to return to the stage next year as they support Enter Shikari on their next UK tour ‘The Mindsweep Tour’ next February. Kerrang! exclusively broke the news the return of earlier this morning.
For those in the dark about who The King Blues are allow me to re-word Wikipedia! The King Blues are a punk rock band from London who have been credited for fusing ska and folk together with influences from punk rock and hardcore punk. The Lead singer Jonny “Itch” Fox describes the music as ‘a mixture of reggae, hip hop, folk, doc wop and punk rock.
The band famously depended in April 2012 leaving fans with one last album in that July. In May 2014, former members Itch, Jamie Jazz & Fruitbag did briefly reuinte at the 100 Club in London.
Wither this tour will then bring new music? We will have to wait and see, but I’m sure that it will. Punk isn’t dead, it was just having a nap for a bit.
