Over the weekend, San Diego Comic Con has premiered a number of exciting new trailers for upcoming movies and TV shows.
One of the most highly anticipated reveals was the first official trailer for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the sequel to Gareth Edwards’ 2014 film Godzilla. This time round, Dr Emma Russell (Vera Farmiga – Up In The Air, Bates Motel), a paleobiologist working for Monarch, and her daughter Madison (Millie Bobby Brown – Stranger Things) are kidnapped by a mysterious group who have their own plans for monsters such as Godzilla.
The trailer reintroduces us to a number of god-sized monsters including Mothra, Rodan the three-headed King Ghidorah, leaving us feeling equally thrilled and terrified. One thing’s for certain, there’s an epic battle (and plenty of carnage) ahead of us.
Check out the incredible trailer below.
Directed by X-Men: Apocalypse’s Michael Dougherty, the movie stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ken Watanabe, and Zhang Ziyi.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is due to hit theatres on May 31, 2019.
