The 23 year old singer who suffered from Lupus disease in 2013, would like to do her part in helping cure the disease.
On Wednesday, Selena’s representatives exclusively revealed to the The Hollywood Reporter that the singer is planning to donate money from her Revival Tour ticket sales to Alliance for Lupus Research.
She has been accused of being involved with drugs and alcohol, and that she was suffering from her breakup with Justin Bieber, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The singer opened up last year about being diagnosed with Lupus disease back in 2013. She cancelled her Australian and Asia shows – which were part of her Stars Dance tour, to undergo chemotherapy. Gomez also spent some time in rehab because of her suffering.
The singer is set to kick of her Revival Tour in Las Vegas this Friday – alongside Bea Miller and DNCE. She also revealed that she is 100% healthy, happy, and extremely excited to get back on the road again.
“This show is so centered around me and I mean that in a way of confidence, of strength. It has a beautiful feel to it, but it is about me. So if I wanted to come in one day and say I want to change [a song in the show] or add this, I can do that. That’s the first time I’ve ever really been able to do that in my life. And I feel… I feel great about it. It’s not me making sure I hit all the dance moves. There’s so much I want to prove to myself for this tour and it’s just based around me, it’s based on my voice, it’s based on what I say to my crowd. That’s all I really want.”
She also explained that she is excited to let her fans hear her new and improved version of “Come and Get It.”
The singer will also be touring Canada, USA, Europe and Mexico. You can check out her tour dates here.
