Not content with being a hugely successful model, TV and movie star, plus a multi-million selling pop star and all round goddess, US sensation Selena Gomez is now trying her hand at country music.
The former Disney Channel child star has been confirmed as a feature artist on American country music superstar Thomas Rhett’s upcoming album which is due for release later this year.
Rhett who is famous for huge hits such as ‘Die A Happy Man‘, ‘T-Shirt‘, and ‘It Goes Like This‘ has confirmed that along with his own father, Selena Gomez will feature on his new record, at a Q and A session at an Outnumber Hunger Event: “I’ve never written more than I’ve written in the last year, and so we had lots of songs to pick from,” said Thomas Rhett. “So the tough part is going to be narrowing them down for the album. My dad is featured on a song, which is pretty cool. I’m trying to be solely responsible for reviving his artistry career [laughing] . . . we have this girl named Selena Gomez sing on a song on the record and she’s pretty cool. I promise you, if I could collaborate on every song, I would. I love doing songs with different people and doing songs with friends. It’s a very all-over-the-place record, that’s for sure. There’s songs on there about kinda finding out I’m going to be a dad of two, there’s love songs on there. There’s songs that are too crazy for anybody to ever play, but I think that’s what I’m good at.”
The exciting news comes shortly after Selena Gomez released a beautiful acoustic version of her massive hit single ‘Kill Em With Kindness‘, and Thomas Rhett’s new single ‘Craving You‘ which features fellow country star Maren Morris.
