Last night was the annual Billboard Women in Music event and Selena Gomez accepted the Woman of the Year award. The 25-year-old “Wolves” singer was awarded the honour by her friends Elle Fanning and Francia Raisa.
It’s no secret that Selena has been through a lot this year, including a life-changing kidney transplant that Francia donated to her. Despite this, Selena has had numerous hit singles this year including ‘Wolves’, ‘Bad Liar’ and ‘Fetish’. We’re not sure how she’s done it – she really is incredible.
Receiving the award, Gomez teared up and dedicated it to Francia, ““To be honest, I think Francia should be getting this award because she saved my life.” Before honouring all the women in the industry.
It’s hard not to tear up whilst watching her emotional speech. We at CelebMix are so grateful for Selena and her sheer honesty. The award is truly well deserved and 2018 looks even brighter for the superstar.
