During his recent London trip, Shawn Mendes paid a visit to Radio 1 for a chat with Cel Spellman.
With Shawn having just announced his 2017 Illuminate World Tour, Cel thought he would give the singer a bit of a helping hand when it comes to remembering the names of all the cities he’ll be visiting. After all, with over 40 dates on the first leg of the tour alone, there’s a lot of place names to remember.
Cue a hilarious version of Shawn’s number one hit ‘Stitches’, specially reworded to include some of the locations he’ll be performing at next year.
“I’m playing Berlin and Vienna,
I’ve got a concert in Tampa,
And Oslo, Portland and Vancouver
Milan and Barcelona”
We bet you’re already singing along, right? The new lyrics fit perfectly, and presenter Cel also adds in some freestyle bits, making this a truly memorable way for Shawn to remember all those place names.
Check out ‘Stitches’, World Tour style, below.
Shawn recently unveiled a new track called ‘Don’t Be A Fool’ from his forthcoming album Illuminate, which is due for release on September 23. Sadly, this new version of ‘Stitches’ won’t be making the album, but we’re more than ready for the new era of Shawn Mendes music.
