Drum and bass duo Sigma have joined forced with everyone’s favourite man band Take That for a brand new dance track called ‘Cry’.
The song received its first radio airplay on this morning’s Radio 1 Breakfast Show. Both parties have been teasing the track for a while, causing great excitement among their fanbases – and boy was it worth the wait!
We would never think of putting Sigma and Take That together but it definitely works. They have created a soaring dance track, complete with an incredible gospel choir inspired chorus. The song is anthemic, energetic and relays the message of someone not wanting to lose the love of their partner.
“Cause I’d rather go blind, than watch you walk out of my life
Turn my face up to the sky, you know we all, we all, we all, we all cry.”
‘Cry’ is a definite contender for song of the summer and we can’t wait to hear the track during live performances from both Sigma and Take That over the next few months. Take That will be headlining BST Hyde Park in July whilst Sigma have slots at some of the UK’s leading festivals including V Festival, Reading and Leeds and Radio 1’s Big Weekend.
In fact, during their chat with Radio 1 this morning, Take That announced that they too will be performing at the Big Weekend event in Powderham Castle, Exeter alongside Sigma. We can expect an electrifying performance from the two groups.
‘Cry’ is available to download on iTunes now and is already at number four in the UK iTunes chart!
