This winner of last year’s BBC Sound of 2018, Sigrid is back with another banger.
‘Don’t Feel Like Crying’ sees the Norwegian pop star team up with singer-songwriter Emily Warren, the combination behind previous hits ‘Sucker Punch’ and ‘High Five’, in this upbeat pop offering.
The punchy track is bursting with the popstar’s loveable charisma as she shakes off her pain with a smile, the Warren-touch adding the cherry on top. ‘Don’t Feel Like Crying’ comes as the latest single ahead of Sigrid’s hotly anticipated debut album, Sucker Punch, out on March 8th, which is hotly awaited by fans and critics alike. In ‘Don’t Feel Like Crying’, the young star brushes off her pain with a smile.
“There’s a certain grace to heartache… A sort of epic grace! I like good heartfelt pop songs.”
– Sigrid
The 22-year-old continues her rise to the top of the industry with her organic and believable pop brand. Having already headlined O2’s Brixton Academy, toured Europe (CelebMix were lucky enough to head down to the singer’s Paris gig) and played on stages such as Coachella, Reading and Leeds and a number of high profile talk shows – 2019 looks to be of stratospheric significance for Sigrid.
A long string of support dates on George Ezra’s mammoth UK Arena tour followed by a spot on Maroon 5’s European leg will come shortly after Sucker Punch‘s release in March.
