Jake Quickenden has released his most recent single, titled ‘Ineffable.’ This represents Jake’s first release of 2017 – his last single, a track called ‘Get Away With Me,’ was released in September 2016 and featured ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ contestant Bailey McConnell.

Probably best known for his appearance on ‘The X Factor’ in both 2012 and 2014, Jake has used the show as a platform to have his talent as a singer-songwriter showcased. Not only has he released singles and an EP, but he has carried out several headline tours around the UK and Ireland, and appeared on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ back in 2014, finishing in second place.

‘Ineffable’ is a completely different sound compared to some of Jake’s older material. From this we can establish he is embarking on a new sound, and it has made us even more excited to hear more from him, potentially an album in the near future!

The lyrics express the greatness of a person and the inability to describe them in words. Upon listening to the track, its simplicity is truly evident. ‘Ineffable’ allows for Jake’s vocals to be showcased and is definitely one of his more stripped back tracks. The simplicity of the track is also reflected in the artwork for the single, which takes an extremely basic form, correlating well to the track.

‘Ineffable’ is an excellent follow-up to some of Jake’s previous singles, which include ‘Blindfold’ and ‘Feel My Love.’ His EP ‘New Chapter’ was released in April 2016. With the release of a range of sounds on his singles and EP also comes the opportunity for Jake to demonstrate his versatility and dynamic nature as an artist. He has the ability to make a track unique and has a voice that is instantly recognised.
