There is a lot of buzz in the Marvel fandom right now with Captain America: Civil War tipped to be Marvel‘s biggest film to date which is coming out next month. However, there is some more exciting news for an even bigger Marvel film that is coming in the next few years. It looks like Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and an Avenger, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to be exact, are going to be crossing each other’s path according to Comicbook.com.

Civil War is already looking to be this year’s biggest film especially with the introduction of Black Panther and Spider-Man, who we saw in the trailers. At a press event for this film, Comicbook.com asked the Russo brothers which character they’re particularly looking forward to working on.

“The movies are intended to be a culmination of everything that’s happened before in the MCU so you don’t want to get into spoilers but I’m a big fan of what James Gunn has done,” Anthony Russo said. “[Joe Russo and I] are both big fans of what James Gunn has done. Star-Lord is a fantastic character and Chris Pratt is an awesome performer so you’d be very excited,” he said, teasing Star-Lord’s possible presence in Infinity War.

Joe Russo is also very excited and more upfront, bringing Thor into the mix, especially as he apparently knows something about Thor: Ragnarok that we don’t…

“I’m excited to work with Thor,” Joe says. “They’re doing some really interesting stuff with Ragnarok and where he’s gonna be at the beginning of Infinity War is gonna be a very interesting place and I think very profound. I think he’s gonna have a real emotional motivation after that.”

So, we now know that Star-Lord and Thor are definitely going to appear alongside the rumoured 68 characters in Infinity War.

Captain America: Civil is out May 6th, this year.

Avengers: Infinity War Parts I and II are set for release May 4th, 2018 and May 3rd, 2019.

It all feels so far away! We can’t wait and we are excited for Marvel‘s next move.
