Over the weekend the glamour of Strictly hit Blackpool. The most anticipated shows of the series.
At the top of this week’s leader board was Georgia and Giovanni for the second time. Their incredible American Smooth earned them a score of 38, Judge Bruno Tonioli remarked he was ‘Blown away at Blackpool!’.
Second place was awarded to two incredible couples this week with great scores of 37, Anita and Gleb with their highly entrancing Paso Doble, judge Craig Revel Horwood called it ‘Magnificent’.
Also, Kellie and Kevin with their very energetic Quickstep, Bruno branded it to be, ‘Another outstanding performance’. Amazingly, both couples scored their first tens of the series which were definitely well deserved.
Jay and Aliona’s incredibly fiery Salsa transported us to Cuba, they earned an incredible score of 36. Judge Len Goodman said he’d been waiting since Jay’s jive for something as good as his Salsa which he performed at Blackpool, praise all round for Jay.
Fourth place this week was awarded to Katie and Anton, their incredible American Smooth scored them a great 35 points, which was very well deserved. Fifth place was awarded to Helen and Aljaž with their lively Charleston, they were awarded a great 34 points.
Sixth place was awarded to Jamelia and Tristan with their amazing and graceful Charleston that brought us to life! They got a great score of 31 which was greatly deserved.
Last place on the leader board from Blackpool was Peter and Janette with their Jive, scoring 29, he did receive some positive feedback from the judges, however Len said it wasn’t his finest dance.
Sunday night was opened with a great routine from the professionals and the remaining celebrities. It was time for a couple to leave, the dance off was just around the corner, the two couples with the lowest number of votes were Peter and Janette along Jamelia and Tristan.
Both couples danced their hardest in order to keep their place in the competition, sadly, after five dance off’s we said goodbye to Jamelia and Tristan who will be greatly missed!
