Taron Egerton, star of the surprise hit that was 2015’s Kingsman: The Secret Service, has teased the return of a major character killed in the first film for the currently in production sequel, titled Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Taron, who shot to fame playing “Eggsy” after a starring role in the first Kingsman film and is currently on cinema screens all around the world starring as the eponymous British Athlete in Eddie The Eagle, took to Twitter to share the films first poster, teasing that it was “a message from an old friend”.

The poster simply shows the pair of sunglasses worn by Harry Hart in the original film, a character played by Colin Firth, and text that reads “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated”, hinting that the bespectacled badass we all loved from the first film might make a shock return from the dead for the sequel!
Kingsman: The Golden Circle will take hero Eggsy and Mark Strong’s Merlin stateside, were they will battle it out with the villain Poppy, played by Oscar Winner Julianne Moore, and meet the Kingsman’s transatlantic counterparts known as the Statesmen, one of whom will be named Ginger and played by Halle Berry, also an Oscar Winner!
Despite the pretty big hint courtesy of the films up-and-coming star, Colin Firth and writer Michael Vaughn have yet to confirm on speculation that the character could return, so we might just have to wait for Kingsman: The Golden Circle on 17th June 2017 to find out for sure (or at least for paparazzi pictures of Colin Firth on set and in costume to surface sometime in the coming weeks!)
