Taylor Swift has been taking over stadiums around the world for months now and absolutely nothing has stopped her success, especially in 2018.
The ‘Delicate’ singer has now concluded the Reputation Tour which first began in May and finished most recently with a broken record. Swift has now set a new record for the highest grossing U.S. tour since statistics regarding concert sales began being recorded in 1990 by Billboard Boxscore.
In total, the Reputation Tour sold over 2 million tickets and grossed $266.1 million in sales. In only 38 tour dates, Swift has taken the title from the Rolling Stones after the success of their 2005-2007 tour that had 70 tour stops in America.
Swift remained busy throughout the summer in the United States and reached most of the country with the Reputation Tour in just a few months. One stop, MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, was granted three separate dates and the sales from these shows accounted for $22 million in sales.
Swift’s latest tour brought fans of hers together again after a break following the release and tour of her1989 album which was released back in 2014. She was eager to share new music off of Reputation and found an overwhelming amount of success after the release of its singles and the album itself in November of 2017.
Things have not been slowing down for Swift despite her busy schedule this year. Her latest single, ‘Delicate,’ has been remixed by Seeb and its original version is still on the charts despite its first release in late 2017.
Fans of Swift have also been hooked on her Spotify playlist titled ‘reputation Stadium Tour Surprise Song Playlist.’ This collection of tracks is a great way for fans to remember attending the tour or reminisce with their favorite Taylor Swift songs.
