This Valentine’s Day just got a little bit sweeter as Columbus, Ohio’s very own rock band, The Candescents, announced they’ll be releasing their EP titled Grass on February 14.
The band is comprised of members Alex Harris, Alex von Lehmden, Miguel Alfredo Acero III, and Cody von Lehmden, who all share a love for creating music that’s personal to them and makes the people around them happy. Check out their latest singles “Drink To Paradise,” “Wet Tuesday,” and “Grass” before streaming their EP.
They recently released the music video for the first single released off of Grass, “Drink To Paradise,” an upbeat song about seeking paradise in a girl who they want to make happy and give her the world. Released last month, the video features appealing visuals from live concert performances when they were supporting Pale Waves on tour, as well as detailing scenes from their life on the road.
The title inspired song “Grass” is the best song to listen to on a cold bitter morning as you remember the warmer days that are coming up ahead. It’s made up of a lot of soft sounds of chords playing and joyful drumming, which will brighten your day as you think about the warm weather and associated memories.
Grass follows The Candescents debut EP Riverside Dr. which led them to a month-long tour supporting Pale Waves across the United States. It features the singles “Boyfriend,” “Chinese New Year,” “2a.m.” and “Back of Your Hand.”
If you’re in the Columbus area, great news, you will be able to celebrate with the band the release of their EP on February 15 at Rumba Café in Ohio. Tickets are now available here – make sure to stop by!
