The nominees have been announced for the NYC Web Fest 2021. We’re so excited about this event, we previously announced the official selections for the festival as well as the jury. For the second year in a row, the festival will go virtual with several live events planned between November 12 – 14, 2021.

A total of 56 digital web series, pilot episodes, and short films from around the world have been selected for this festival and there are 27 awards up for grabs. The festival will take place on the Endavo Media streaming platform, which will serve as a Supporting Sponsor, along with Manhattan’s Spa Zuzu and screenwriting software Final Draft. Spa Zuzu is offering a 20% discount using the code NYCWF2021 on all services for NYCWF followers, and Final Draft will provide twelve award-winning filmmakers with the latest version of their program, Final Draft 12.

Endavo Media first collaborated with NYCWF in 2018 when the festival celebrated its fifth anniversary. “We’re excited to be a sponsor of NYC Web Fest once again. We want to do everything we can to help get independent film festivals back in business, after a difficult couple of years. NYC Web Fest is an industry leader and, of course, based in one of the most creative cities in the world. Many festivals see the value in adding a virtual component to their local events to expand reach and monetization for everyone. We hope to support film festivals in the realization of that value proposition,” says Paul Hamm, Endavo’s founder and CEO.

“The content this year is so strong we had to add several new award categories!” exclaimed NYC Web Fest Founder Lauren Atkins. “We now have an award for Outstanding Achievement in Lighting, Best Youth Performance, and Best Vocal Performance due to some fantastic voice-over work. We’ve also brought back the Quarantine Creative Award.”

About NYC Web Fest: NYC Web Fest has brought together a multifaceted diverse group of people from around the world to showcase the best of the web. Born in Cape Town and raised in Toronto, Lauren Atkins founded NYCWF in 2014, after recognizing there were several festivals showcasing digital series on the west coast, but nothing in New York. “Our goal is to make this festival the premier home for digital producers on an international level. An organic space where creators can showcase their talent, network with other artists, and learn from industry insiders,” said Atkins.
