Ahead of the release of their new album Cherry Blossom next month, The Vamps have treated fans to track ‘Chemicals’ from the upcoming release.
‘Chemicals’ in an electro-beat led track showing yet again a new side to the quartet’s sound. This rocked up love song, sings of the feelings experienced when you fall in love and the highs you go through as they proclaim ‘drowning in a pool of people now all I ever see is you‘. Through its incredibly catchy, hook driven chorus the track speaks of the powerful emotions felt when with that person; ‘The way that you get me high is something like chemicals‘.
Speaking about the ‘Chemicals’, Brad Simpson said “Chemicals is a really important track for us, it’s essentially the DNA of the album and so a real indicator of what the Cherry Blossom sound is. The response to ‘Married in Vegas’ has been incredible so far, we can’t wait to share more of this chapter of the band with you all ahead of the album’s release in October“

The track has been incredibly well received by the bands followers and started off the new era on a resounding high for the band.
One thing the quartet specialise in is superb, emotive acoustics with a number of previous tracks having acoustic re-releases. Now The Vamps are going one step further with Cherry Blossom and producing an acoustic version of the forthcoming release. Since the release of their debut album Meet The Vamps in 2014 it seems that The Vamps have been relentlessly touring or releasing new music much to the delight of fans. However, following some much-deserved time off and upon revisiting a previously written half album from eighteen months ago, the quartet came together again, hanging out in Airbnb’s jamming as the band. James McVey explains “We ended scrapping all of the first batch of songs and starting again.“.
From this the band were able to plan, re-group and create their fifth studio album. Cherry Blossom is set for release on 16th October 2020 and is being hailed as the bands most personal album to date. “We’d be lying if we said we didn’t want it to go out into the world and be received positively. But ultimately we love it so much, and that feeling of self-fulfilment is so exciting. These are songs that really touch on parts of our lives. The songs mean that little bit more.” says Simpson on the release.
Cherry Blossom is available to pre-order now along with the acoustic version of the album, a commentary edition and a range of album merch including cherry blossom seeds! Head to band’s official store to see the full range and pre-order the album from here.
