We keep saying this, The X Factor US gave us some amazing stars, and proving just that is CeCe with her incredible new single “Little Hell”. There is more new music on its way as CeCe confirmed in an Instagram post back in April; she has been working on her debut album and it’s finished, completed, and ready to be heard – we cannot wait! This single release follows up “Never Be”.
CeCe, full name CeCelia Frey, is best known for coming sixth on the second season of The X Factor US. This season was literally one of the best we had watched, not only was Britney Spears on the judging panel, but many contestants went on to become stars, the biggest being Fifth Harmony – other stars include Tate Stevens, Carly Rose, Emblem3, Diamond White, and Bea Miller. After some time, CeCe started to release music, starting off with the awesome track “Dead 2 Me” which is currently her most-streamed single to date. She then followed it up with “Broke AF” which we adored. Last year saw her drop “Chain Of Fools” which was strong and powerful, and this year she released “Never Be” which was just as brilliant. Now, we have “Little Hell” and we’re blown away with this one. If these tracks are any testament to her upcoming album, then we know we’re in for a real treat!
According to Spotify, this single has been written by CeCelia Frey and John “Yawny Blew” Gonzalez, whilst it has been produced by Sean Hamilton and Jared “ReezyTunes” Thorne. A music video for the song hasn’t been released, just yet, but we hope that one does as her previous visuals have been stunning.
The song kicks in from the very beginning, and a rhythmic beat is built in the first few seconds before CeCe dominates with her brilliant vocals. The lyrics are absolute perfection, telling a visual story throughout and easily portraying a narrative across the verses whilst the chorus hits hard with a tonne of fire – if a music video is released, we’re expecting it to drop just before Halloween, due to the fantastic imagery in the lyrics. CeCe’s vocals are powerful throughout and make us hope that one day we’ll hear her sing this song live, as it will be fierce! The track is one we could easily leave on repeat for days. It’s relatable, catchy, and passionate. The beat reminds us, somewhat, of a cross between Kesha & Iggy Pop’s “Dirty Love” and 4th Impact’s “Unleash The Diva“.
