As he continues to promote his new movie Mission Impossible:Rogue Nation, Tom Cruise took on TV host Jimmy Fallon earlier this week in an epic showdown via a lip sync battle.
By intertwining the US smash-hit of the summer AKA “I Can’t Feel My Face” by The Weeknd with “Paradise by the Dashboard Light” by Meatloaf, the 53-year old actor really laid down the gaunlet to Fallon, who could only stand by and grin manically from the side before doing his best to match Cruise via a rendition of “Under Cover Of The Night” by the Rolling Stones.
Even covering “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling” by The Righteous Brothers, bringing Cruise into assist couldn’t rescue him, and the game was all but over when Cruise serenaded one lucky woman in the audience.
The clip has so far been viewed more than seven million times, making his performance more popular than the moment he jumped on Oprah’s couch declaring his love for Katie Holmes ten years ago.
Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is released in cinemas nationwide today.
