It’s Monday and we’re officially suffering from post Jingle Bell Ball blues. Over the weekend, more than 20 acts took to the O2 Arena stage for Capital’s annual two-night festive bash. With some of the hottest music talent on board, Capital once again delivered an incredible concert experience for everyone.
To celebrate a fantastic weekend of talent, we’re going to take a look at some of the highlights, starting with the top ten moments from night one (Saturday) of Jingle Bell Ball.
10. Sigala gets the party started
DJ Sigala kicked off the Jingle Bell Ball party in style with a string of his infectious dance hits. He also mixed in a sprinkling of festive cheer in the form of Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’. One of the highlights for us was ‘Sweet Lovin’, which was slowed down beautifully to start with. It then kicked into the party anthem we all know and love – incredible!

9. Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie and Louisa bring the sass
Girl power was alive on Saturday night. As well as Little Mix (who we’ll mention later on), Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie and Louisa brought plenty of sass to the Jingle Bell Ball stage. Dua Lipa proved to be hotter than hell, Anne-Marie set off all the alarms, and as for Louisa? She was just so good.
8. Calum Scott mesmerises the crowd
Calum Scott had us mesmerised with his stunning performance of ‘Dancing On My Own’. Whilst we would have preferred to hear it without the dance remix, he still delivered an incredible vocal.
7. Calvin Harris delivers big tunes and a stunning light show
Calvin Harris closed night one of JBB, and delivered a loud set complete with an epic light show. He performed hit after hit and also mixed in some classic tracks too (for example, Adele’s ‘Hello’). He finished his set in a perfect manner, with his latest offering ‘My Way’.
6. Olly Murs tells us to ‘Grow Up’
Always a showman, Olly Murs provided the crowd with a great setlist, including his most recent single ‘Grow Up’. As usual, there was plenty of cheekiness from the Essex lad and he received a lot of love from the audience.
5. Clean Bandit bring out Sean Paul and Anne-Marie for ‘Rockabye’
Clean Bandit pulled out all the stops for their set, and brought out Sean Paul and Anne-Marie for a performance of their current number one hit ‘Rockabye’. It was definitely one of those memorable JBB moments!
4. Craig David gives us a throwback
Craig David is currently enjoying one of the most incredible comebacks we’ve seen in recent years. With his first number one album in 16 years under his belt, Craig treated fans to several of his recent tracks which got the crowd bouncing. However, it was this old school classic which received one of the loudest receptions of the night.
3. Little Mix out-do everyone on the sass scale
We mentioned some of the night’s fierce females earlier on, but the title of the Queens of the Ball definitely goes to Little Mix. From the moment they made their entrance by being carried through the crowd, we knew we were in for a treat. They served us some flawless vocals, spine tingling harmonies and incredible dance routines – can we join as a fifth member? One of the (many) highlights of their set was their new sass anthem, ‘Shout Out To My Ex’.
2. Nathan Sykes gives us goosebumps
Nathan Sykes is no stranger to the Jingle Bell Ball stage but he truly excelled himself on night one. The underrated singer wowed the audience with his set, and delivered a truly stunning performance of ‘Over and Over Again’. With the entire arena lit up, it wasn’t hard to see why Nathan got so emotional by the end of his performance. It was a goosebump inducing moment for everyone.
1. The King and Queens of the Ball unite
Without doubt, the performance of the night was delivered by the King and Queens of the Ball. During Little Mix’s set, they performed ‘Secret Love Song’, a track which is very dear to many of their Mixers. To give it a special Jingle Bell Ball touch, the girls invited Nathan Sykes to perform with them. Not only did he accompany them on the piano, but he also sang alongside the girls. The five of them created something so magical, with each person delivering perfect vocals. It’s sure to be one of those JBB moments that will go down in history.
