We’ve been following Transviolet ever since their song “Girls My Age” went viral; it currently has 10 million Spotify streams, and we’ve been hooked ever since. On Friday, the band released their first single of 2018, titled “Bad Intentions” and we’re fully loving it. The single follows up their collaboration with Tim Legend, titled “Telescope”, and their 2017 EP “Kaleidoscopes”.
Transviolet are a four-piece group consisting of Sarah McTaggart, Judah McCarthy, Michael Panek, and Jon Garcia. They started off strong within the music industry and they continue to build their fan base as they tour around the US. They are hitting a whole bunch of cities on their Fall Off The Earth Tour in June and July – we so wish we were going.
They have stated that more new music is on its way and we really cannot wait. We’re sure the people going to their Fall Off The Earth Tour will get to hear some upcoming releases. This new track, “Bad Intentions” was written by the band themselves, according to Spotify.
Listen To Transviolet’s New Single “Bad Intentions” Here:
The song starts off with an instrumental sound before Sarah McTaggart comes in with her rich vocals that transpire into a hypnotic falsetto for the chorus. There are some brilliant loop arrangements from the other band members and we’re obsessed with the production of the backing vocalists.
As for the lyrics, Transviolet really delves deep around pills and drugs and drink, and how reckless it can be. The song has a high sort of feel about it and we are definitely feeling this track in every way. There’s so much imagery as we imagine the pills being passed on to Sarah McTaggart and into her system. The second verse takes us out on a ride – a joyride. All this storytelling is certainly making us hope for a narrative music video that translates this song in every way.
“Bad Intentions” is available to download and stream right now. The group started their Fall Off The Earth Tour on June 1, and they will wrap it up on July 2.
