New British musical Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) is extending its current West End run at the Criterion Theatre.

The musical, starring Sam Tutty (Dear Evan Hansen) and Dujonna Gift (Hamilton) will now play until August 31, extending from its previous date of July 14. It transferred to the Criterion on April 4 following a sold-out, extended run at Kiln Theatre. Following weeks of preview performances, the show received its official opening night at the Criterion earlier this week, receiving several five star rave reviews.

This modern, humourous take on a rom-com is a two hander which will leave you obsessed. Sam Tutty and Dujonna Gift are simply irresistible as Dougal and Robin, proving that when in the Big Apple, anything is possible.

Dougal is a naïve, impossibly upbeat Brit who’s just landed in New York for his dad’s second wedding. The dad he’s never known. Waiting for him at the airport is Robin, the sister of the bride. She’s a native New Yorker, she’s late for work, and she doesn’t have time to stop and see the sights. Instant attraction? Nope. But with an extravagant wedding approaching and the Big Apple at their feet, anything could happen…
