Tyler Hoechlin is set to reprise his role as Superman for the three-part Arrowverse crossover happening this year. Hoechlin, who made his debut as the Man of Steel during season two of Supergirl, will guest star on all three CW shows participating in the crossover event, which apart from Supergirl, also includes The Flash and Arrow.
Superman’s return to the Arrowverse wasn’t the only exciting news made today, as Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner confirmed that Daily Planet reporter and love interest to Superman Lois Lane will also make her debut in the upcoming crossover.
“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse,” said Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner in a statement. “This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”
In Supergirl, the Man of Steel has referenced Lois Lane on several occasions, but has never introduced her to any of the show’s characters. As of now, the CW does not have an actress set to play the role, but fans expect the network to reveal someone soon.
Earlier this month, the CW also announced that Batwoman will star in the crossover and will be played by Australian actor and model, Ruby Rose.
The three-part crossover will begin on Sunday, December 9th with The Flash followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10th and Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11th.
