After a little mix up on the internet yesterday about which Teen Wolf cast member will be joining the cast of MTV’s series ‘Scream’, it has now officially been announced that our leading man Tyler Posey is the one!

Tyler will be playing the series regular role of Shane, a high school dropout. His character is described as a drug dealer and party promoter who is constantly hustling in order to make money. Beneath the exterior, however, there’s more to Shane than people realise.

The casting of Shane will keep Tyler in business with MTV, after he has spent the last six years with them as leading man and series regular Scott McCall on Teen Wolf, which served its 100th and last episode Sunday 24th September.

Tyler will be joined by an incredible cast including; Keke Palmer, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, Giullian Yao Gioiello, Tyga and C.J. Wallace.

Brett Matthews will be serving as the franchise’s third show-runner and executive producer alongside new arrivals such as; Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and Yanely Arty. Brett has previously worked for TV series’ The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural.

In addition to the new cast, anthology format and story, the production for the third season has been relocated to Atlanta. The six-episode third season will air as a three-night event on MTV in March.

What do you think to Tyler Posey joining the cast? Are you just as excited as we are? Tweet us over at @CelebMix and let us know your thoughts!
