But sometimes, it’s okay not to do that. It’s normal to feel jealous or petty sometimes because they’re basic human emotions. There were so many times when I’d feel sad or jealous or angry and everyone around me would tell me it wasn’t good to feel that way. I’d get so angry with myself every time I felt angry, which felt so counterproductive. I finally realized that the only way to overcome a situation is to go through the wave of emotions first. No one can find happiness and inner peace without some turbulence first.”
