Get excited – Walk Off the Earth are back at it again with yet another creative cover. You may have seen their viral cover of The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” with kazoos. This time, they’ve returned with a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You”!
“Shape of You” just came out earlier this year, but this cover was a massive throwback. The band took it back to elementary school pairing a thumb piano with BoomWackers as the star of the show. They also took a DIY approach by using some household objects such as cutlery, a container of dry food, and a necklace of more cutlery and shells to create the beat.
Walk Off The Earth went in with a fun, energetic approach and did the song justice while still making it their own. They found their own groove and harmonies blended seamlessly, all while playing their makeshift instruments and working in some surprise mashups.
