Without a doubt, one of the biggest songs of the summer has been Khalid’s “Talk.” Taken from the artist’s second studio album, Free Spirit, “Talk” has gained significant radio airplay, and has also helped Khalid earn his first No.1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Mamamoo‘s Hwasa has shown that she’s a fan of the single, because for her 24th birthday on July 23, she gifted fans with a cover of the Khalid track.
Hwasa posted the cover to her YouTube channel. In the video, fans can see the artist in a purple-lit room singing the song as lyrics and emojis pop on the screen throughout. While she didn’t cover the entire three-minute track, two minutes was all fans needed for them to fall absolutely in love with Hwasa and her voice. Her feminine rendition of the song added a sweet and sultry vibe to the track, which made fans want a full-length version.

Mamamoo fans appreciate whenever the girls pursue their own solo projects. In February earlier this year, Hwasa made her solo debut with “Twit.” After the song’s release on February 13, it quickly shot to the top of the K-Pop charts on iTunes in the U.S.
