Following on from the release of comeback single Hello My Love, Westlife have unveiled Better Man taken from their forthcoming album.
The emotive, love ballad was written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac yet is brought to life and stamped with Westlife’s own musical touch. When speaking of the track the band said “When we decided to come back, one of our first moments together as a band was to go into Steve Mac’s studio – he started to play us a song that he had just written for us with Ed Sheeran, that’s the first time we heard ‘Better Man’. That was also the exact moment when we all knew we had made the right decision. It’s a song that truly defines Westlife and one that we know will become a classic amongst our fans”. We absolutely love this heartfelt track which has been accompanied by a nostalgic music video which can be seen below.
Since their return to music Westlife have been riding on a new wave of success with previously released track Hello My Love spending nine consecutive weeks within the UK Top 40, signed to Virgin EMI for their upcoming new album and sent fans into a flurry with their The Twenty Tour. Taking place throughout May, June and July the band will be making stops across the UK and Ireland celebrating their twentieth anniversary as a band. These will be the bands first shows as a group since their Croke Park, Dublin show back in June 2012. But it isn’t just the UK and Ireland getting a taste of The Twenty Tour as they’ll be taking it to South East Asia in July and August!
