    Happy Birthday Gary Barlow!

    Gary Barlow was born on the 20th of January 1971, making him 45 years old today! Over the past 25 years, Gary has given us some of the most loved and listened to music, as both a solo artist and as a member of Take That, one of the world’s biggest boybands.

    Gary has also been involved in musical theatre recently, co-writing the score for Finding Neverland on Broadway as well as co-writing The Girls Musical with Tim Firth. He also received an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2012 for his services to music and charity.

    To celebrate Gary’s birthday, we’ve put together 15 of our favourite photos that he’s shared on Twitter over the past year.

    1. The Boyband Throwback

    On the day of The Brits 2015, where Take That performed as a three-piece, Gary shared this adorable 21-year throwback from when Take That were a band of five and attended the show.

     

    2. Neverland Orchestra

    Gary shared his appreciation for the Finding Neverland orchestra.

     

    3. Cookie the dog

    Gary shared a loveable selfie with Cookie the dog, one of many pictures from his Twitter.

     

    4. Barlow’s Bingo

    Gary is known for hosting ‘Barlow’s Bingo’ nights, especially on tour. We LOVE Bingo, how do we get an invite to one of Gary’s games?!

     

    5. The Stage Selfie

    During their 2015 tour, Gary, Mark and Howard would post a ‘stage selfie’ on the first night at every different venue – this selfie was taken on the first of 10 nights at London’s O2 Arena!

     

    6. Celebrity Dad of the Year

    Gary beat off stiff competition from David Beckham, Tom Fletcher and Simon Cowell to win icelolly’s Celebrity Dad of the Year. Gary was over the moon and after a long hard battle (“This road I have walked has been long and hard, there have been times I’ve felt like giving up,” he tweeted!!), he reclaimed the trophy, having previously won in 2012. He then went on to post numerous pictures with the trophy, but this power nap one was our favourite!

     

    7. The Suit Selfie

    Gary shared this gorgeous suit selfie before appearing on The Late Late Show in August. We do not know how he manages to look even more dashing than usual!

     

    8. Father and Son

    Gary wished his son Daniel a happy birthday and shared a lovely picture of the two together.

     

    9. Let Them Eat Cake

    Someone made Take That this INCREDIBLE cake to celebrate their tour, and Gary just had to share it on Twitter with everyone. The cake resembles their big tour stunt, where they flew over the audience in a car during ‘Portrait’.

    10. 2015 Tour

    As their 2015 tour came to an end, Gary shared this gorgeous tour photo, a lovely memory showing their stage at its most colourful. Gary also promised to see everyone again in 2016, we can’t wait!

     

    11. Mr and Mrs

    What a beautiful picture of Gary and his wife Dawn! They make such a lovely couple.

     

    12. Hey Boy…

    This photo was taken during the filming of the 70’s inspired ‘Hey Boy’ video. We definitely think that Gary rocks this look!

    Take That performed in Zurich at the end of last year, and this is definitely one of our favourite pictures of the trio!

     

    14. Blackpool Tower

    Take That performed on Strictly Come Dancing’s Blackpool special, and obviously, Gary made time to go up to the top of the tower!

    This is a lovely picture from The Girls Musical with co-writer Tim Firth.
