Showcasing his versatility and unique sound, Xadi impresses with his latest single “sodium lights” which sees him blend his rhythmic R&B sound with elements of indie-rock and hip-hop. Addictive and catchy, this track is perfect for car journeys, summer beach parties, and barbecue gatherings. The release of “sodium lights” acts as the follow-up to his previous single “The Ultimate Taurus”.
Xadi, an extraordinary singer-songwriter and producer hailing from West London, is making waves with his innovative and boundary-pushing music. Seamlessly blending elements of R&B, indie rock, and Hip-Hop, he creates a sound that is entirely his own. Reflecting on his upbringing in the “darker sides” of London, Xadi fearlessly explores diverse themes through his captivating voice. With an independent mindset, he taught himself to play the guitar, as well as master the intricacies of mixing and producing through online resources. Xadi’s talent has caught the attention of big names like Charli D’Amelio and Kim Kardashian’s brand ‘SKIMS’, who have endorsed his music on TikTok. As he gears up for performances at some of Europe’s most prestigious festivals this summer, 2023 is undoubtedly shaping up to be Xadi’s breakthrough year. Get ready to immerse yourself in the sonic universe of this rising star.
Starting off with an R&B relaxed flow, Xadi throws himself into the mix with hip-hop vocal tendencies that seamlessly wrap themselves around the beat as he deep dives lyrically with words coming straight from the heart. The addictive beat progresses into an awesome rhythm that listeners can’t help but get behind right as Xadi launches into the full flow of the pop-rock chorus that will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. As the song comes to an end, Xadi takes the gritty guitar chords, heard throughout, and lets the instrument go full out, closing the track on a brilliant guitar instrumental that leaves a lasting impression. Lyrically, he throws it back to his past and where he was brought up and how much has changed since then.
Talking about the track, Xadi said: “[This is] the second single from my upcoming project ‘Black Rock’. I had never heard someone singing about the darker side of growing up in London on an Indie/Rock instrumental and wanted to discuss some of the grittier aspects of my upbringing through a different lens. This was important to me because I wanted to describe the experience of growing up in a deprived area through genres outside of Rap and R&B. ‘sodium lights’ gave me the opportunity to do this.”
