Creating something beautiful out of something tragic, Eli Lieb and Brandon Skeie have released ‘Pulse’ – a ballad dedicated to the victims of the recent Orlando massacre.
The talented pair premiered ‘Pulse’ earlier today and it’s already touched the hearts of many. As well as honouring the fallen victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting, the stunning track also spreads an important message of uniting for equality.
It’d be an understatement to say that ‘Pulse’ will give you goosebumps; Eli and Brandon’s faultless vocals are full of emotion and they’ll have you reaching for the tissues in no time. The haunting echoes of ‘can’t you see that we’re human?’ are particularly powerful.
With the help of Hillary Bernstein and Mimoza Blinsson, Eli and Brandon penned the song is just one afternoon. They then hit the streets of LA to film striking visuals for the ballad.
Sharing the video on Youtube, Eli Lieb said: “We have all been devastated by the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting. Brandon Skeie and I decided to write a song together to help show our support to the victims. This is that song.”
Brandon Skeie added: “The past few days have shaken all of us but they WILL NOT break us. This song is called Pulse & represents all of us. We are one united body & we must stand together. Spread awareness & donate to the families affected with the links in the description of the video. BE HERE for each other.”
Making sure that the song is readily accessible for everyone everywhere in the world, Eli and Brandon have made ‘Pulse’ available as a free download here on Soundcloud.
The inspiring duo have also encouraged fans to spread awareness about the massacre’s official GoFundMe page. You can support the families and commemorate the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting by donating here online. Every contribution helps.
More than ever, at times like this, we’d also recommend that you listen to ‘Lightning In A Bottle‘ by Eli Lieb. The self-empowering anthem has a truly fantastic message. Whether you identify as LGBTQ+ or not, you should be proud of who you are. Never forget that.
