It’s “new music Friday”! Among all the new music dropping today is Kygo’s brand new single entitled, “First Time”, featuring the lovely Ellie Goulding. The new song is the second single off of the Norwegian DJ’s new album and is following the release of Kygo’s smash hit, “It Ain’t Me”, featuring Selena Gomez.

Kygo dropped his announcement of a second single earlier this week and the internet went into an uproar. He specifically put out the album artwork for the single featuring both him and Ellie highlighted by blue and purple lights and a dark black background.
“First Time” was written by Shy Martin (The Chainsmokers’ “All We Know”), Jenson Vaughan, Jonas Kalisch, Alexsej Vlasenko, and Fanny Hultman. The song has Kygo’s classic, chill vibe along with smooth and silky EDM beats. Ellie’s voice sounds sultry, but also has elements of youthfulness throughout the track. Overall, the song is cohesive and is the perfect, relaxing jam for a night out or even a night in.

The whole world is really loving this new collaboration and can’t wait for the release of Kygo’s second studio album, which will hopefully be announced and released soon. (We can only hope!)
