Lights, Camera, Honors! The glitz and gravitas of awards season are in full swing as the nominations for the 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards have officially been revealed. Celebrating the most outstanding performances in film and television, the SAG Awards continue to stand as a cherished cornerstone of Hollywood’s prestigious awards circuit.
This year’s ceremony, promising its signature blend of elegance and heartfelt tributes, will stream live globally on Netflix on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Hosted at the historic Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles, the event will spotlight exceptional talent across individual, cast, and stunt ensemble categories. A standout of the evening will undoubtedly be the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to the legendary Jane Fonda, honoring her unparalleled contributions to the world of entertainment. Adding to the night’s charm, celebrated actress Kristen Bell will take center stage as host, bringing her signature wit and warmth to the proceedings.
With a voting body of over 122,000 SAG-AFTRA members—one of the largest on the awards circuit—the SAG Awards uniquely embody the power of peer recognition. This year’s nominations announcement, however, came under unexpected circumstances. Originally planned as an in-person event led by actors Joey King and Cooper Koch, the reveal was transitioned to an online press release on January 8 due to the devastating Pacific Palisades fires.
