Singer-songwriter AJ is rounding off 2016 with a wonderful gift for his #AJammers. The 18-year-old has released a special Christmas song called ‘Christmas Time Valentine’.
Sharing the news on Facebook, AJ said: “Surprise!!! Did you really think I wasn’t going to give you something special for Christmas!!! Here is a song I wrote for you and I really hope you enjoy it! I love you all so much, thank you for everything.”
The track is a sweet ballad, which will leave every fan wanting to be AJ’s Christmas Time Valentine. Form an orderly queue please, CelebMix are already at the front of it!
AJ has had a stellar year, proving himself to be a mogul, entrepreneur and musical game changer in the pop music world. We caught up with the singer-songwriter seven months ago, soon after he opened for two-time Grammy winning group, Pentatonix, on their world tour.
Since then, he gained the title of the #1 independent artist on Top 40 Radio, and released a 360 virtual reality music video for his track, ‘Tongue’. Not only was it one of the coolest things we’d seen, it also starred Chloe Lukasiak (Dance Moms) and Twan Kuyper in a multi-narrative story of broken promises.
AJ recently placed within the Top 5 in Macy’s iHeart Radio Rising Star competition. Over 30 radio stations are playing ‘Tongue’ in rotation, and he has also locked in a deal with Justice. They will be launching their app with AJ, and will also be playing his single and music video in all of their stores nationwide.
As well as being a singer and performer, AJ prides himself on being a songwriter first and foremost. He has not long garnered his first major cut, having co-written the new single for American Idol alumni, Brielle Von Hugel, featuring B.O.B. AJ is also a keen social media mogul, teaming up with TigerBeat to help run their social media department.
AJ also has a strong desire to help others. Putting his fame to good use, he is a Teen Ambassador for DoSomething.org, and has aligned himself with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation and the Big Brothers, Big Sisters Program. It’s evident that his passion for charity work is just as strong as his passion for music.
As well as these incredible achievements, during the year AJ has honed his sound through knowledge gained during numerous writing sessions. His love and research of different genres, combined with an intense passion for music, has allowed him to fulfil his dreams, all while attending USC as a full-time student.
We have no doubt that 2017 will be another great year for AJ, and we can’t wait to see what else he will achieve in the New Year.
