Hot on the heels of their sold out show at Oslo, Hackney in the summer, Alphabeat have announced a three-date UK tour which will take place in April 2020.
Kicking off at Subterania in London on April 2, the band will also be performing in Brighton and Glasgow. Tickets for the tour are available now and you can get your hands on some right here.
Alphabeat UK Dates
2nd April 2020 – Subterania, London
3rd April 2020 – The Old Market, Brighton
4th April 2020 – The Garage, Glasgow
To coincide with the release of UK dates, Alphabeat have treated their UK fans to a special mix of their comeback single ‘Shadows’. Originally released earlier this year after a six year hiatus, the new mix of ‘Shadows’ has been mixed by Jeremy Wheatley. Not only has he worked with artists including Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams, but he also mixed Alphabeat’s iconic debut single ‘Fascination’.
Speaking about the ‘Shadows’ mix and the upcoming dates, Alphabeat said: “We’ve been on a hiatus – for way too long – but it feels so good to be back together and we’re super excited to finally release new music! ‘Shadows’ is about how the dark times in life should never bring you down and is inspired by a melancholy Motown vibe with a signature drum beat which has become a bit of an Alphabeat trademark. We alp crossed paths with Jeremy Wheatley who mixed ‘Fascination’ and ‘10,000 Nights’ and we’re so thrilled to have him back in the mix on ‘Shadows’.”
“Playing a sold-out show at Oslo, Hackney back in June reminded us how much we’ve missed touring the UK. It was magical! We can’t wait to come back for more!”
‘Shadows’ is taken from Alphabeat’s upcoming fourth studio album, Don’t Know What’s Cool Anymore. The album is due for release on November 1, and is made up of 10 songs. You can pre-save and pre-order the album here – physical copies include a violet vinyl!
