When she’s not teaching the likes of The Vamps and Roman Kemp the art of karate, Anne-Marie still finds time to release new music. The latest offering being Perfect To Me, a reworked version of Perfect taken from her debut album Speak Your Mind.
Since we first head the track we’ve loved the self-love theme which is prominent throughout. There are many standout lyrics during the track, but ‘I’m okay with not being perfect, ’cause that’s perfect to me‘ has become the key one and the important message to be taken from the track. Discussing everything from mental health ‘You know I get depressed, are you impressed with my honesty?‘, body confidence ‘I eat my body weight in chocolate and ice cream‘, self-confidence ‘I wanna kiss someone that I’ll never see again‘ and even confidence within love ‘I’ll love who I want to love, ’cause this love is gender-free‘. We cannot get enough of how important the message of this track is, we need to accept not only ourselves but the others around us. Anne-Marie is leading the pack with her unique tracks, another example is previous release 2002; the ultimate throwback track. Both tracks are incredibly catchy, memorable, yet extremely different and highlight just how real and willing to share her memories and feelings Anne-Marie is.

To celebrate the release of the track Anne-Marie has come up with a way for fans to get involved with #Perfect2Me. Asking fans to send in what perfect means to them whether what they think is perfect about themselves or someone else, the perfect day, the perfect dinner, just what is their perfect.
