Lukas Meijer is a singer-songwriter and musician born in Ulricehamn, Sweden who is now based in Stockholm. He is a member of the rock band No Sleep For Lucy who over the years has worked with the likes of Stevie Aiello (30 Seconds to Mars), Tommy Henriksen (Alice Cooper, Hollywood Vampires) and Mark Holman (Daughtry, Three Days Grace).
Last year, Lukas teamed up with DJ and record producer Gromee to record and release the song “Without You”, which has since been certified gold in Poland.
In February this year, Polish broadcaster Telewizja Polska announced that Gromee and Lukas Meijer would participate as one of ten finalists in Krajowe Eliminacje, Poland’s national selection show to select a representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. They performed “Light Me Up” and won the contest after topping the televote and coming third in the jury vote. You can watch them perform in Lisbon on 10 May in the second semi-final.
