It’s that time of year again. One of Britain’s most controversial and talked about shows, Big Brother, is back!
After a long 16 years on air (yes, we feel old too), and a slight loss of viewers, Channel 5 has promised HUGE changes to the show… But whilst we’re still in the dark about most of these changes, what do we know so far?
When’s it back?
Unfortunately, the exact shows return date has yet to be confirmed. However Channel 5 have revealed it will be scheduled between Saturday 4th and Friday 10th June.
Who’s hosting?
As usual, we have both Emma Willis and Rylan returning to host BB and BOTS respectively.
What’s the Eye logo?
This years design of the iconic logo, sees a Black and White version of the eye, featuring colorful triangles, which is speculated to represent their being Two houses this year.
What will the house be like?
The house has undergone a huge makeover, seeing a new 700 square metre extension to the studio. It is rumoured to be a replacement for the old house or in fact, as earlier suggested, be used as a spare of some sort. We have been told that the renovations will also include a new eviction set, a new Garden and swimming pool.
What’s new?
Whilst nothing has been confirmed yet, the new series has been described as a ‘brand new game’ by Rylan – although we’re not quite sure what that means, “People know what Big Brother is now, the contestants know what to expect.This year they won’t, because we’re doing something brand new which they haven’t even thought about!”. Interesting…
Their’s heavy rumours that this years shows contestants will be joined by celebrities, and that it may be changed to be more like the Canadian version, meaning less public say and more decision making inside the house. And of course theirs rumours about a Second house. Whatever it is, we’re certainly intrigued!
Who Will Star?
In previous years we’d see 10-15 normal strangers appear on the show. But this year it’s (apparently) change. With a whole range of celebrities, including the likes of; I’m a Celebrity star Lady C, Ex On The Beach’s Connor Hunter, among many.
