Busted Announce ‘Half Way There Tour’ Supports

Busted’s Half Way There Tour kicks off in Glasgow in just two weeks time (23rd March). Ahead of this, they’ve unveiled the artists who they’ll be sharing the stage with during this run of shows. The Xcerts, Young Brando, Brigade and Holy Good are the lucky bands joining them over the tour’s duration.

Scottish trio The Xcerts are joining Busted for each date of the tour and it will see them bring their pop-rock sound to arena venues for the first time. With their new EP Wildheart Dreaming released on the 22nd March, expect to hear sing-along friendly tracks such as new single Ready To Call performed live. We’ve been lucky enough to see The Xcerts live before and we have to say we think they’re the perfect fit for the main support slot on this tour. Head down early to a show and see what we mean! If you like what you hear then be sure to catch the trio on their headline dates which follow on directly from the Half Way There tour.

When Young Brando were announced to support the trio at their Cardiff show, we couldn’t help but feel this name rang a bell. It was then we found out they have previously supported McBusted on their 2014 arena tour meaning they’re no strangers to arena shows. The duo from Salisbury recently released their new single Lion’s Den which is an emotive number, with feel-good lyrics to match. The 360 video for the track is one of the most innovative and exciting ideas we’ve seen in a while, placing you right in the heart of the action. Catch them at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on 26th March.

Supporting at all of the Half Way There shows except in Cardiff will be Brigade. In 2011 the band announced their break-up with many expecting this to be the last they heard of the quintet. But last year saw their musical return with new EP This Is Not For You. Standing out on the tour line-up with their heavy, riff-laden, chaotic rock sound, they’re definitely going to wake up the crowd and make them pay attention. With a handful of intimate headline shows lined up for April to celebrate their musical return, you can find out more about Brigade here.

Eagle eyed music fans might know Holygood from their days as Light You Up. But now back with a new name; Holygood are signed to Warner Music Group and have their debut single Oh No! Every tour line-up needs a good dose of pop and this exactly what the quartet are bringing. A common theme with Busted’s support acts are that they all specialise in creating sing-along friendly tracks which are going to no doubt win over fans during their sets. Catch Holygood in Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Earlier this year Busted released their fourth studio album Half Way There, hitting the number two spot in the UK album chart. To date the band have released two singles from the album; Nineties and Radio giving fans a look into what they can expect to be hearing on the setlist alongside some classic favourites. We can’t wait to see how incredible the setlist is going to sound when the tour kicks off in Glasgow SSE Hydro later this month.

Back out on tour this month… CANNOT WAIT. These shows are going to be epiccc, make sure you pick up tickets at ?? https://t.co/yDgzY7M6GZ ??? pic.twitter.com/XBrhl6F8c2
