Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner are the latest famous faces to get the waxwork treatment at Madame Tussauds!
The waxworks of Cara and Kendall, often referred to as CaKe, are part of a new Fashion Week experience attraction at London’s Madame Tussauds.
According to the Madame Tussauds website, the attraction offers “a peek ‘backstage’ at an international fashion event brought to life through a multisensory set, plus you get to hang out with two of the fashion world’s most famous faces – Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne (plus a guest appearance from Anna Wintour).”
Kendall’s waxwork is featured in the ‘backstage’ area, where you can sit beside her and get ‘runway ready’ – and grab a selfie of course! Once you’re ready, it’s time to strut your stuff down the catwalk and pose next to Cara, with American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour watching from the front row.
It has taken six months to prepare the Fashion Week experience, with around 20 artists working on each figure. As with all waxworks, Cara and Kendall have taken part in numerous sittings in order to capture the likeness.
Kendall’s waxwork is particularly lifelike, and Cara took a great interest in the choice of outfit, requesting that her wax figure wears a Saint Laurent dress, like the one she wore to the New York premiere of Paper Towns. Madame Tussauds sculptor Jim Kempton told The Telegraph, “Cara was quite adamant that she wanted us to have her recreate a Saint Laurent dress. Saint Laurent have made a replica version for us.” It even took four weeks alone to create Cara’s trademark eyebrows with each hair inserted individually by hand!
The Fashion Week attraction is now officially open at Madame Tussauds, London. We can’t wait to go and get some CaKe selfies!
