Carly Pearce returns on September 27th with the second single to be lifted off her much anticipated second album which is set for release early next year. The new track is titled ‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’ and features guest vocals from Lee Brice and follows on from the global smash-hit ‘Closer To You’.
The new track was co-penned by Carly alongside Luke Combs, Jonathan Singleton, and Randy Montana before recording with frequent collaborator and esteemed producer Busbee. It’s a honey-soaked track that showcases the stunning vocal talents of both Pearce and Brice.
Speaking about the single and working with Lee Brice, Carly Pearce says: “I am so excited to share such a personal part of my story with one of the best male vocalists in our format. Lee has the kind of gruff yet vulnerable quality to his sound that I envisioned for this duet and am grateful he agreed to join me. This song is raw and real, truly something I think many people around the world will relate to.”
While Lee adds: “It was an absolute pleasure working with Carly on this track. She has such a beautiful and powerful voice and definitely has a huge career ahead of her. Hope everyone loves this song as much as we did recording it!”
‘I Hope You’re Happy Now’ will be officially released on September 27th and promises to be one of the major chart hits of 2019.
