Here at CelebMix, we love nothing more than introducing our readers to new, up and coming talent. In this article, we introduce you to Northern Irish soulful singer and song-writer JC Stewart.

His love for music was first ignited when he began writing songs at the age of fifteen, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Beatles and U2. As his love for music continued to grow, he started to become a well-known name within the music industry in Northern Ireland and over the years, his popularity has continued to increase.

Following on from previous singles ‘Parachute’ and ‘Medicine,’ which have both received over one million streams on Spotify, he has recently released his phenomenal new single ‘Like I Did,’ an extremely emotional and captivating track, filled with soul and raw emotion.

“I wrote ‘Like I Did’ about a situation one of my friends was in, where he had just found out some news that nobody wanted to hear. He was angry and frustrated and we wrote this song about the situation. It’s a really special song to me, because the lyrics aren’t trying to be fancy, it’s simply what he said to me put into song form. I’m incredibly excited to have it out into the world!”

Further to his recent music releases, JC Stewart has worked with renowned artists such as Nile Rodgers and Rudimental and regularly is in the studio with artists such as Lewis Capaldi, James TW and several others.

Throughout 2018, JC Stewart has supported Snow Patrol at their headline gig in London at the Islington Assembly Hall and he has performed at various festivals around the UK and Europe. Currently, JC Stewart is supporting Kodaline on their European tour dates and has announced that he will be supporting Lewis Capaldi on his Irish tour dates later this year.

He recently announced a free headline show in London’s ‘The Waiting Room’ venue on Tuesday 4 December 2018. Limited tickets are now available for this show by clicking here.

‘Like I Did’ can be bought from iTunes by clicking here and can be streamed on Spotify through the link below. The track is also available on other responsible music purchasing outlets.
