In this particular article, we introduce you to Northern Irish singer and song-writer Rosborough, who has most recently unveiled a beautiful cover of popular track ‘With Every Heartbeat,’ as part of the digital release of his single ‘Burn Blue.’
From a young age, music has always been a fundamental part of his life. He grew up in a household filled with music lovers and it was at the age of ten whereby his love for music was ignited even further, when he first picked up an acoustic guitar. By the age of eleven, he was writing songs and by the age of twelve, he was performing at various open mic nights.
Rosborough’s musical growth was fuelled by his love for any type of music that was “dark and subversive,” with musical influences ranging from the likes of Kate Bush to Black Sabbath to Peter Gabriel. However, he has always been interested in creating his own sound and making his own unique mark on the music industry.
His new single ‘Burn Blue’ is the track that truly launched his career in Northern Ireland, following on from the release of previous singles ‘Fall To Earth’ and ‘Another Lesson.’ The track was nominated for Best Single in Northern Ireland’s Music Prize and was also awarded Single of the Fortnight by Hot Press magazine. Further, the track received significant radio support across Ireland.
‘Burn Blue’ has quite a guitar-driven sound and the track continues to build in the lead-up to the chorus. This single is a true testament to the fantastic talent of Rosborough, not only with his vocal abilities, but also his song-writing skills and musical talents. There is a strong and memorable beat maintained throughout the track, which will stick in your head.

In addition to the release of his own music, he has also beautifully recreated classic songs, including Robyn’s ‘With Every Heartbeat.’ Additionally, his cover of Daniel Johnston’s ‘True Love Will Find You In The End’ was described by CLASH as being “a sparse but poetic rendering, driven by one of Rosborough’s purest, most heartfelt vocals yet.”
He finished 2018 on a high, with the release of a special acoustic EP, titled ‘The Paper Boats’, which included acoustic versions of his singles, along with his poignant Daniel Johnston cover.
