The CelebMix Twitter Fandom Awards 2017 has just wrapped up for the year, and our winners in each category have been announced. Their prize you may ask? A mini Q&A with us, plus an article on the website.
We had a little bit of a chat with one of our winners Elisa (@RMNCHeyViolet) from the Best Hey Violet Fan Account category, and this is what she had to say about winning a Twitter Fandom Award and her life as a Hey Violet fan.
Q: When did you start RMNCHeyViolet?
A: I was a fan of Hey Violet since the day 5SOS announced that they would go on tour together, but I came up with the name about a year ago. I had different Twitter names over the years, but I thought that RMNCHeyViolet was the right fit.
Q: What does “RMNC” stand for?
A: They stand for Rena, Miranda, Nia and Casey [The four original members of Hey Violet].
Q: Do you think you might add an “I” to the handle for Iain (the newest member)?
A: I thought about it but I don’t know if it will fit, and I didn’t have much time to do it. You know how it goes, something always comes up [but], I might do it soon.
Q: What made you want to start a fan account?
A: I wanted to support them in any way I could. @Heyvioletfam inspired me to promote them and to support them no matter what.
Q: Has being the owner of RMNCHeyViolet affected your life in any way?
A: Not really. Hey Violet noticed me a few times and I have some mutuals as friends but that’s it.
Q: What do you enjoy most about RMNCHeyViolet?
A: That I get to support my favorite band and get in contact with them. I also enjoy being part of this fanbase, and stay in contact with other people with the same interests. [Also helping] other fans to get noticed by Hey Violet.
Q: What was your first reaction when you found out fans of your account had nominated you to win a CelebMix Twitter Fandom Award?
A: I was touched because I didn’t expect it at all. I asked a few friends to nominate me, but I didn’t think with all the fan accounts out there that I would be nominated.
Q: What does being a fandom account owner mean to you?
A: It’s a great thing to do because you can connect with fans and share memories with each other. I also can support Hey Violet and show them how proud I am of their achievements.
Q: Do you have anything to say to the people who nominated and voted for you?
A: I want to thank them and let them know that I am honored that they nominated me. A special thanks to my mutuals and friends here on Twitter. And also thank you to @heyvioletfam for being an inspiration to the whole Ultraviolet fandom.
