Charlie Puth has released the highly anticipated music video for his latest single, ‘The Way I Am’.
The visual takes place at a house party, with a moody looking Charlie disinterested in his surroundings as the party carries on around him. As Charlie sings “Everyone’s trying to be famous, And I’m just trying to find a place to hide”, he swaps alcohol for coffee and finds an escape from the party’s antics by sitting on the roof of the house.
The visual also addresses the lyric “All I wanna do is just hold somebody, but no one ever wants to get to know somebody”, as Charlie is seen catching the eye of a pretty lady throughout. With an intriguing smirk at the end of the video, it seems that Charlie might have made that much needed connection after all.

‘The Way I Am’ is taken from Charlie’s sophomore album Voicenotes, and follows on from its previous singles ‘Attention’, ‘How Long’, and ‘Done For Me’. The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and the UK Albums Chart, marking his highest chart debut to date.
Charlie will be bringing the songs of Voicenotes to life during his forthcoming Honda Civic tour. The tour begins on Wednesday in Toronto and continues across North America until September. The singer will also be taking his tour to Asia and Indonesia later this year.
Don’t forget you can also vote for Charlie in our CelebMix Awards. He is nominated for Single of the Summer and Album of the Summer.
