Claire Richards

Claire Richards: A Year in Review

Just like the previous years with reviewing our favourite artists’ years on CelebMix, this year is no exception. Claire Richards has had a fantastic year. She completed a highly successful Summer tour with Steps bandmates which saw them perform at various outdoor venues across the UK.

Then in August came the news fans had been waiting over 20 years for. Claire was going to release a solo album. My Wildest Dreams. The album is scheduled for release on 1st February.

We caught up with Claire for a chat about her upcoming album and a few months later even got a sneaky listen (https://celebmix.com/celebmix-exclusive-claire-richards-takes-over-the-big-london-bake-to-preview-her-new-album/and to eat some cake.) We were not disappointed it’s a fantastic body of work that showcases Claire’s vocal range.

Claire has released three singles from her upcoming album. Each gives a taste of the album, all feature stunning vocals and relatable lyrics.

She also released an absolutely gorgeous version of her debut single On My Own, which gave us goosebumps when we first listened as it provided arguably some of Claire’s best vocals of her career.

In December she did a small tour of the UK. Just four dates. We caught her homecoming show at Union Chapel in London and were blown away. It was a highly emotive evening for both Claire and her fans, who had waited years for her to do a solo show. One moment that was full of nostalgia and that fans loved, was Claire covering a stripped version of H and Claire classic All Out of Love.

2018 has been a great year for Claire and with the release of My Wildest Dreams this year looks like 2019 will be just as good.

My Wildest Dreams’ is released on February 1, 2019. Pre-order the album here.
